TI Fluid Systems Production Supervisor - 2nd shift in Lavonia, Georgia
Duties and Requirements of the Job:
- Analyzes production limitations and problems.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment. Consistently addresses good safety practices with team members. Ensure all tools and equipment are in working order and that they are in place and used in a safe, efficient manner.
- Manage employees time and payroll.
- Demonstrate a positive mentoring approach and actively participate in various meetings.
- Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustment of machines.
- Study production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Ensure that direct and indirect labor goals are met on a daily basis.
- Recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Analyze and resolve problems, or assists team members in solving work problems.
- Estimate requisitions, and inspects materials. Maintain and adhere to departmental budgetary constraints and continuously monitors budgetary requirements with the appropriate personnel.
- Support all Quality Improvement Team functions in a proactive manner, concentrating on elimination of internal and external customer concerns.
Training, Knowledge and Experience:
- BS in Business or related field strongly desired; will consider any combination of equivalent education and experience.
- At least (2) plus years of supervisory experience.
- Strong Computer Skills.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Microsoft office proficiency.
Physical Requirements to Perform the Duties of the Job:
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Ability to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions:
- Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds and frequently carries up to 30 pounds.
- Works within an automotive components manufacturing office and laboratory setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.
