06469 Clerical Spec- Distribution Clerk STRHS-Lawrenceburg Job Description Performs a variety of tasks related to the verification, processing, and delivery of incoming and outgoing shipments of supplies and equipment.

Provides administrative support, performs clerical and customer service functions, as well as non-technical duties in the hospital.

Essential Functions ?

Responsible for receiving and storage of supplies within the Materials Management Dept.

Receives and fills all supply requisitions, from departments thar are not replenished by the PAR system. Collects patient supply charges for processing.

Interfaces directly with staff members of the user departments to determine the need for adjustments to the PAR level Replinishment System for their department.

Properly handles and stores sterile items foR maintain serility.

Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from other support personnel.

Notifies the Material Manager Director/Purchases when supplies or special orders are needed.

Ensures operation of equipment by following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; reporting needs for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques of use.

Restocks utilizing proper rotation, organization, identification, documentation and location of stock. Maintains stocks by checking stock inventory levels.

Minimum Education X High school diploma or equivalent Required

Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
