SENIOR DIRECTOR OF FINANCE - SaaS/Technology Company in the Atlanta metro area

My client is a SaaS/Technology company in the Atlanta metro area. They are seeking a Senior Director of Finance to join their team. The Senior Director of Finance will oversee the reporting, forecasting, and budgeting for one of their fastest growing divisions. This role involves providing high-quality strategic financial advice to support decision-making and achieve financial targets. The ideal candidate will build strong commercial relationships with senior stakeholders across Sales & Marketing, Product, and Central Functions to drive and monitor business performance, maximizing growth. This key leadership position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a matrix organization, as well as significant team management responsibilities.

Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership:

• Act as a trusted, respected, and influential business partner by building strong relationships with leaders in Sales & Marketing, Product, and Central Functions.

• Maintain robust financial controls and discipline across the Business Unit, working with other finance functions to ensure accurate reporting.

• Lead the production of forecasts and budgets for the Business Unit, contributing to strategic discussions and addressing financial issues proactively.

• Challenge leadership on managing their cost base and optimizing resource allocation.

• Provide high-quality financial analysis and insights to aid commercial decision-making.

• Clarify the financial framework for the Go-To-Market (GTM) function to ensure alignment with operational requirements.

• Support investment decisions by building robust business cases.

• Manage a team, overseeing performance and providing guidance and coaching.

• Drive an innovative mindset across the finance team, focusing on simplifying and automating processes and problem-solving.

• Deputize for the VP of Commercial Finance, North America, when necessary.

  Requirements

Must-Have:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field of study required; Masters degree highly preferred.

• CPA certification highly preferred.

• Previous experience working for a Software or SaaS based company required.

• Previous experience in a Commercial Finance role required.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize financial information for C-level executives.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, producing quality outputs within tight deadlines.

• Proven ability to quickly build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and become a trusted, credible strategic partner, capable of coaching and influencing senior business leaders.

• Capacity to deal with ambiguity and drive for clarity.

• Willingness and ability to dive into details.

• Ambitious, proactive, and solution-focused, with high attention to detail.

• Experience in senior commercial finance roles within a matrixed environment.

• Commercially aware with a proven ability to identify and drive strategy.
