Dartmouth Health Structural Heart Disease Advanced Practice Provider (Clinic and Inpatient-based) Lebanon (FT) in Lebanon, New Hampshire

Overview

Structural Heart Disease Advanced Practice Provider (Clinic and Inpatient-based)

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic and the Heart and Vascular Center is seeking an experienced advanced practice provider (nurse practitioner, physician assistant) with a strong interest in structural and interventional cardiology, who will join an existing, thriving team of structural heart disease specialists including physician assistants, nurses, scheduling coordinators, and physicians to help in the evaluation and management of structural heart patients in the hospital ward and outpatient (clinic) settings.

This position functions as a clinic and hospital-based provider in the care of patients with structural heart conditions under the direct supervision and support of a structural interventional cardiologist. Structural heart disease is a rapidly growing specialty area of interventional cardiology which comprises the management of valvular heart disease (e.g. aortic stenosis, mitral stenosis, mitral regurgitation, tricuspid regurgitation) along with other percutaneous procedures for the heart (e.g. patent foramen ovale closure, left atrial appendage occlusion, adult congenital heart interventions). The scope of practice also includes a teaching role, as well as participation in clinical research and quality improvement activities. The Structural Heart Disease Advanced Practice Provider will work closely with other members of the Heart Team, including cardiac surgeons, nurse specialists, advanced practice providers, structural fellows-in-training and interventional cardiologists. He/She will attend Multidisciplinary Heart Team and cardiac catheterization laboratory conferences. There is no call or weekend responsibility with this position. A faculty appointment through Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth will be requested.
