GEHA B2B Sales & Engagement Growth Manager in Lee's Summit, Missouri

As a B2B Sales & Engagement Growth Leader, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base by strategically driving sales and growth initiatives with our Federal Employee, Federal Retiree/Annuitant and Military Retiree health plan. This position requires a seasoned professional with a proven history in B2B sales and account management, particularly with federal agencies and select support organizations, and a deep understanding of the federal employee benefits landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Accounts:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive account growth strategies to enhance relationships with leading national agencies or federally focused unions and associations at the national level.

  • Engage and build relationships with national agencies, federally focused unions, and associations involved in the management and influence of federal employee health plans or with access to federal employees.

  • Identify and prioritize key decision-makers within target agencies and establish strong, long-lasting partnerships.

  • Business Development:

  • Drive the sales process, from lead generation to contract negotiation, with a focus on closing new business opportunities.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions that meet the unique needs and requirements of various federal agencies, federal employees and their supporting unions and associations.

  • Market Analysis and Positioning:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, federal regulations, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Position GEHA as the preferred choice for federal employee health plans through effective value proposition communication.

  • Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for key agency leaders, union, and association partners, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.

  • Conduct regular check-ins, business reviews, and strategic planning sessions both internally and with agency partners.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales support, marketing, and product development, to align business strategies and enhance service offerings.

  • Provide valuable insights to improve product features and services based on client feedback.

Requirements: Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of B2B sales experience in healthcare, health insurance or similar.

  • Proven history of successful B2B sales, preferably with Unions and federally focused agencies.

  • Proven experience in leading accounts, preferably with Unions and/or federally focused agencies in the healthcare industry.

  • Extensive experience in B2B sales, with a history of driving revenue growth.

  • Strong relationship-building skills, with a proven history gaining access to key decision makers.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of federal employee health plans and an understanding of the agencies that influence or manage these plans.

  • Persuasive communication and negotiation skills with the ability to articulate complex solutions effectively.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

  • Strong relationship-building skills, with a proven history gaining access to key decision makers.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred:

  • MBA

Work-at-home requirements

  • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.

  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.

  • Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms

  • Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.

  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

GEHA considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

The annual base salary range for this position is $92,960 - $131,040 USD.
