Senior Systems Engineer

KBR is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (TS Clearance) to join our Lexington Park, MD, team supporting PMA-231 Advanced Programs. E-2/C-2 Airborne Command and Control Systems Program Office (PMA-231) is responsible for providing the E-2C Hawkeye, E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, Hawkeye 2000, and the C-2A Greyhound fleet with acquisition strategy, logistics, and sustainment solutions in support of the warfighter’s mission. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support for research, development, integration and testing of advanced communications/datalinks systems.

  • Provides system development support will include acquisition documentation development, development of specifications, conduct independent technical analyses, evaluate system documentation, and test analysis. H andles task-specific questions and engage in advanced problem solving. Generate plans, technical reports, and briefings to keep the customer informed. Works closely with the customer and primary contract vendors to ensure requirements are properly implemented. I nterface daily with government and other contractor personnel in a team environment .

    Basic Qualifications:

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related engineering field from an accredited college or university is required . Master’s degree preferred.

    Clearance: DoD Top Secret clearance is required with a current SSBI or Federal Investigative Standard Tier 5 (T5) or Tier 5 Reinvestigation (T5R) within the last 5 years.

    Experience: At least twelve (12) years of experience in communications/datalink systems engineering (i.e., Tactical Data Links, Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), and Link-16) is required.

    Travel: Must be able to travel as required for the role. Travel (20-25%) is required for this position.

    Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Interoperability integration and testing, E-2D Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) and Link-16.

Must be able to work in a dynamic, complex security environment. Excellent written and verbal communications. Proficient in all Microsoft Office products, including Project. Professionalism and customer service
