WestRock Company Trainee Machine Operator in Limerick, Ireland

The opportunity:

Join our team as a Cut and Crease Machine Operator and immerse yourself in the rhythm of machinery in a bustling, fast-paced pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role is perfect for those with a mechanical background and a passion for machinery. Your key responsibilities will include operating machinery safely and efficiently, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and adapting to changing production schedules. We value a can-do attitude, flexibility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. How you will impact WestRock:

  • Achieve daily/weekly production targets.

  • Maximise machine efficiency.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives in production.

  • Log and record duties performed in "Shop Floor, Data Collection" (SFDC)

  • To assist in the maintenance of all machinery and equipment in line with established planned maintenance programmes.

What you need to succeed:

  • Ability to take responsibility for own work and actions.

  • Flexible to work to established shift patterns including nightshift.

  • A desire to learn about good manufacturing practice.

  • A good eye for detail.

  • Must be I.T. literate and have a basic understanding of Microsoft packages.

  • Willing to learn new skills and participate in training.
