Context

The Data Modelling and Visualisation Lead plays a key role within the Advanced Planning System program focusing on Inventory Optimisation. The DMV Lead is responsible for transforming data as an input to the IOP application, building analytical solutions to identify and correct data and create visualisations to cater to a wide range of partners.

The DMV Lead will have deep understanding of current analytics, reporting and visualization tools, their integration with other systems and a good understand of planning processes. With direct interactions with business stakeholders will drive and deliver future analytics, reporting and data quality platform.

In addition, the DMV Lead is required to understand the design structure of OMP data model, its integration to Diageo Data Hub and advanced analytics tools (Databricks, Dataiku, Alteryx,…)

Key Accountabilities:

The DMV Lead will be expected to display the flowing amongst other skills to be successful:

  • Display critical thinking and digital dexterity by using data to tell a story based on fact and trends.

  • Create insightful reporting and analytics suite as per Diageo digital strategy (PowerBi)

  • Working closely with business stakeholder to contribute where most needed

  • Create reporting solutions which are flexible to support future needs

  • Prepare detailed documentation for designed suites to allow seamless handover to Diageo BAU teams

  • Analyze all data feeds, frequency, granularity, completeness and quality

  • Manage DevOps backlog for each project phase and area of expertise

  • Test delivered solutions and provide inputs for any process improvements

  • Becomes the key contact for technical errors and system issues resolution.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Baseline understanding of the end-to-end Supply Chain Planning processes; Supply Planning, Distribution

  • Requirements Planning, Inventory Planning, Conversion, Logistics, Procurement and Customer Service

  • Demonstrated proficiency advanced analytics techniques

  • Strong analytical, organizational and decision making skills

  • Good communication skills – verbal, written and presentation. - Proficient in MS applications e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook

  • Proficient in data programming languages SQL, Python, R,…

  • Proficient in data visualization tools (PowerBi, Qliksense, Tableau)

  • Proficient in big data analytics and data handling (Azure Data lake/Databricks, SQL server)
