Starbucks Facilities Manager, Store Development in London, United Kingdom

In this role you’ll be leading the way in creating and maintaining an exceptional environment for our Support Centre and stores. As our Facilities Manager you will be the strategic lead behind the smooth operation and functionality of our facilities. From overseeing a team of professionals to implementing innovative solutions, you will play a key role in optimizing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and partner satisfaction. The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! Working as our Facilities Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Own and monitor our external partner, Mitie to deliver optimum facilities management.

  • Manage the facilities management budget (planned and reactive), specifically in terms of preparation and its delivery for the store portfolios.

  • Identify equipment replacement proactively and coordinating all associated work.

  • Attend and represent Starbucks at regular supplier and contractor review meetings.

  • Manage contractor performance based against SLAs and planned facilities maintenance.

  • Support the Health & Safety team to ensure the portfolio is legally compliant with HSE statutory requirements while responding to any H&S queries or concerns and facilitate emergency works.

  • Manage and analyze store condition data to support any roll outs and renovation planning.

  • Analyze data and trends to support an enhanced facilities management service to our stores, reducing cost whilst improving quality of service.

  • Support Senior Manager and the Sourcing team to drive future facilities management strategic planning.

  • Identify ways to reduce the cost base and improve quality over time.

  • Complete regularly store visits to support store partners, including regular visits to the warehouse to review stock levels and ensure stock inventory process is followed and maintained.

  • Support the implementation of sustainable practices and energy-saving initiatives.

  • Coach and develop facilities coordinators, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles, including supporting store manager with any training requirements for equipment.

We’ll look to you to bring your experience, knowledge, and passion in the following:

  • Proven multi-site retail environment, including catering equipment experience

  • Direct experience of managing and implementing an outsourced facilities management process and service

  • Has experience of managing large budgets

  • Degree level in Engineering related discipline, IWFM Member level and HNC level in Electrical/Mechanical (preferred)

  • Ability to influence senior management with strong commercial acumen

  • Critical reasoning, written communication, and numeracy skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite. Excel Intermediate Level. CAFM experience Maximo

  • Facilitation skills with an understanding of a retail and food environment

  • Ability to drive a team of direct reports, providing and measuring aligned objectives
