About our Team

Investor Relations (IR) is viewed as a critical function by the RELX senior management team and is a key capability in communicating the group’s strategy, financial performance and growth prospects to the financial markets.

About the Role

As an Investor Relations Associate at RELX, you will play a pivotal role in communicating the company’s strategic vision, financial performance, and growth opportunities to the financial markets including shareholders and equity analysts. You will work closely with the finance team to prepare financial results, reports, and presentations. This role involves frequent interaction with senior management and external stakeholders, requiring analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing financial results, investor presentations, management briefing documents and board materials. Coordinating the drafting of key sections in the RELX Annual Report and validation of data

  • Monitoring market and competitor developments, analysing share price performance and valuation and tracking competitor performance

  • Share register analysis and investor targeting, analysing movements in RELX's shareholder register and identifying investor prospects.

  • Interacting with external stakeholders, including maintaining financial models to help guide equity analysts, understanding changes in earnings consensus, and attending meetings with investors

Requirements

  • Be a Chartered Accountant and / or have experience working in investment banking, equities or strategy/business development

  • Have proven analytical and Excel modeling skills with a commercial outlook

  • Show enthusiasm to learn about complex issues surrounding a FTSE 100 company in an evolving and dynamic market

  • Possess excellent PowerPoint skills and communication skills

  • Aptitude to learn how to use FactSet and other financial data platforms effectively

  • Be able to interact with senior management and balance priorities in a fast paced environment
