WTW Procurement Category Manager in London, United Kingdom

As the Category Manager of IT Software, you will be responsible for leading sourcing engagements within the Software Applications Category. The individual will collaborate with the business stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies and act as a trusted advisor to partner on procurement related matters for the IT organization.

We are looking for someone with IT Procurement experience and a willingness to learn. This is an entry level role, reporting into the Software Applications Category Manager. This individual should have experience in building and maintaining business stakeholder relationships as you will be acting as a trusted advisor. This will be a hybrid working model and would be based at the London office.

The Role:

  • Management of sourcing processes, commercial negotiations, and contractual terms

  • Management of internal stakeholders and vendors

  • Identify & support opportunities to address in category spend / vendors

  • Help shape and define the ongoing category structure and strategy

  • Support the delivery of the wider IT Category Plans whilst addressing short, mid, and long term business goals and objectives for the immediate IT Software category.

  • To put the interests of clients and the integrity of the market at the heart of the way you do business

The Requirements

  • Seeking for an IT procurement experienced individual

  • General negotiation skills

  • Stakeholder collaborative relationship building skills

  • Both a strategic and analytical mind-set

  • Creativity to seek, encourage and find non-traditional approaches to procurement challenges

  • Excellent communication skills and strong listening skills

  • General knowledge of IT sourcing and procurement principles and best practices

  • General IT Procurement Industry knowledge

  • General IT contract review and negotiation experience
