We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Solution Architect Manager to join our Cloud Sales Center & Untapped Talent team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of early career builders in the tech industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solution architecture, with expertise in cloud computing, software development, and system integration. As a leader, you will guide the team in designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions that address our clients' business challenges. Additionally, you will play a key role in fostering a collaborative and supportive environment that promotes growth and development for our early career professionals. AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of early career solution architects, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to help them grow and succeed in their roles.

Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, managing resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful outcomes.

Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in solution architecture, providing technical leadership and guidance to the team.

Communication: Effectively communicate technical concepts and architectural designs to both technical and non-technical audiences, fostering understanding and buy-in across the organization.

Problem-Solving: Analyze complex business and technical challenges, identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization, and driving the development of creative solutions.

Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team, encouraging knowledge sharing, skill development, and adoption of best practices to enhance overall performance and effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of enterprise IT application work that includes at least 2 years of hands-on software development or DevOps engineering experience as well as experience with cloud architecture

  • Experience leading and growing teams of technology professionals, ideally in customer facing roles

  • Experience advising on business and technical requirements with customers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud

  • AWS Certifications

  • Demonstrable ability to learn new technologies and apply them to customer use cases
