Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience managing programs for a technical portfolio with cross-functional and external teams.

  • Experience managing programs for a portfolio of buildings in multiple geographies to defined timelines, budgets and quality metrics.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience delivering technology and technical infrastructure in corporate real estate across multiple locations.

  • Experience with smart buildings, control systems, Internet of Things (IoT) systems, IoT cybersecurity, energy management or similar.

  • Ability to travel internationally as needed.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to represent the organization internally and externally.

  • Excellent resource organization and task prioritization skills, with the ability to schedule and achieve objectives.

  • Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Digital Buildings team is part of the Technical Infrastructure team in Google’s Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) organization. The team is responsible for the strategy behind the systems in workplace buildings, including IoT and digital building infrastructure.

In this role, you will direct the IoT and solutions deployment programs in the region including new construction projects and existing buildings. You will also work in collaboration with the REWS Technical Infrastructure team and cross-organizational teams.

  • Direct strategic programs, control systems, cybersecurity, data science, business use cases, solutions, optimization, sustainability.

  • Manage processes, charters, and standards for IoT and control systems, including functionality and cybersecurity and implement them in new construction and existing buildings deployment programs.

  • Direct the technical and commercial strategy of the programs including establishing technical criteria, developing the procurement approach, vendor management, risk mitigation, resolving escalations, and delivery of projects.

  • Develop goals for the new construction and existing building programs, track progress, and take corrective action.

  • Build relationships with executives, stakeholders, and external partners to set expectations, maintain alignment, and give progress updates for the deployment programs.
