Description
We are in search of a Bilingual Spanish Paralegal to support our non-profit legal team in Los Angeles, California. This role offers an opportunity, to work with both the public and a dynamic group of legal professionals and partners. In addition to providing client communication you will support case maintenance, data management, reporting and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and execute data entry tasks efficiently
• Conduct detail oriented communication with clients, staff, and other stakeholders
• Support staff attorneys by assisting in case-related tasks and client communication
• Assist in conducting intake sessions for potential clients when required
• Organize and produce webinars, trainings, and other events on various platforms, handling communication with multiple stakeholders
• Coordinate the services of the project and contribute to grant reports as needed
• Compile, organize, and maintain client case files and program data
• Provide general administrative support as requested by the team
• Use your Spanish proficiency to provide written and oral translation when needed.
Requirements • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat to effectively manage and organize digital documents.
• Familiarity with Case Management Software to handle legal cases efficiently.
• Experience with CompuLaw to ensure accurate tracking and management of court rules and deadlines.
• Ability to handle Billing Functions, including issuing invoices and tracking payments.
• Experience in Briefing, including summarizing cases and legal opinions.
• Proficiency in Calendar Management to organize and schedule meetings, court dates, and deadlines.
• Experience in Claim Administration, including filing and tracking insurance claims.
• Excellent Communication skills to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
• Fluency in Spanish Translation to assist in serving Spanish-speaking clients and translating legal documents.
• Experience as a Litigation Paralegal, including preparing for trials, managing evidence, and assisting in court proceedings.
