UCLA Health Fellowship Programs Coordinator - Anesthesiology in Los Angeles, California

Description

The Fellowship Programs Coordinator will help coordinate for one or more graduate medical education (GME) programs, or one or more functional areas of a program(s). You will partner with the program director(s)/leadership in the operational and financial management of the program(s) to ensure an optimal training environment for current trainees. You will support, develop, initiate and/or direct a wide range of programmatic activities including but not limited to: long- and short-term program planning; project management; recruitment; onboarding and offboarding; policy development and oversight; effective communication with faculty, trainees/learners, and university staff; and internal and external program relations. The Fellowship Programs Coordinator supports trainees in areas such as curriculum, teaching and learning activities, scheduling, core competencies, assessment, and evaluations. This role crosses many functional areas including administration, program/project management, finance, compliance, human resources, and event planning.

Salary Range: $31.44 - $47.65/Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

  • High degree of initiative and independent judgement.

  • Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent experience/training.

  • 1+ years of experience coordinating an educational program(s) in an academic medical center.

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to complete work and meet established deadlines in an accurate and timely manner, and to manage short and competing deadlines.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to interact collegially with faculty, staff, trainees and outside contacts to carry out the mission of the program.

  • Proficient with or ability to quickly learn Microsoft Office programs, GME database management programs and web-based applications.

  • Presents/expresses ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience, whether oral or written.

  • Actively listens to what others are saying to achieve understanding. Shares information with others and facilitates the open exchange of ideas and information.

  • Ability to manage confidential information discreetly and responsibly.

  • Open to change and new information; adapts behavior and wok methods in response to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles.

  • Demonstrated commitment to knowledge development/professional development.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree preferred.

  • 3+ years of equivalent experience.

  • Comprehensive understanding of ACGME accreditation policy, board policies/guidelines, and institutional requirements of training program(s).

  • Comprehensive understanding of UCLA policy and procedures.
