Robert Half Patient Registration Specialist in Los Angeles, California

Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Registration Specialist. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing the registration and discharge process for patients receiving care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm and trauma-informed patient experience during registration and check-out.

  • Accurately collect, verify, and upload necessary documentation.

  • Confirm insurance coverage, calculate patient charges, and review benefit-related information with patients, including Primary Care Provider (PCP) changes.

  • Gather and report demographic data to health plans as required.

  • Schedule patient appointments and follow up to request consultation notes when necessary.

  • Ensure transportation logistics are coordinated effectively and assist with operating the mobile medical van when required.

  • Manage assorted paperwork and maintain a well-organized registration process.

  • Monitor and replenish essential office and medical supplies as needed.

  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.

    Requirements

Required Qualifications & Attributes:

  • Professional, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude.

  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Preferred bilingual ability in Spanish (reading and writing).

  • CPR certification, as well as possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and basic office equipment.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and related software.

  • Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of healthcare-related processes, such as insurance verification and appointment scheduling.
