Netflix Product Manager, Content Data Foundations Los Gatos, California

The Role
The Content and Business Products team builds technology to scale Netflix's content operations from concept to streaming. We create systems and services that enable teams worldwide to plan, produce, distribute, and promote our titles. This role sits within the Content Foundations team, which creates both end-user applications and developer platforms that ensure reliable data and efficient workflows across our content lifecycle.
In this role, you will drive the strategy and development of data services and intuitive interfaces that power Netflix's expanding content operations. Your focus will be on building scalable solutions to manage critical entertainment data—such as talent, productions, and content partners. In our distributed ecosystem, different teams manage their own data services, and you'll develop the common infrastructure and tools they need to maintain data health. Your solutions will empower both other product teams building innovative features and business users managing content data.
This role can be based in our Los Angeles or Los Gatos offices. There is also the option to be based remotely from the West Coast/PST working hours. Some travel will be required if remote-based.
As a Product Manager at Netflix, you will:
Build strategic roadmaps and take product concepts from idea through validation, delivery, measurement, and iteration
Author strategy memos and presentations, representing your team's work across the organization and to senior leadership
Lead a team of stunning colleagues across design, engineering, data management, and data science to deliver outstanding products to our customers
Build business cases and measure the impact of your product innovation
Deeply understand and socialize the evolving needs of our customers
As the Product Manager, Content Data Foundations, you will:
Drive the vision and strategy for Netflix's content pipeline data services, balancing centralized infrastructure with our distributed ecosystem
Lead the development of extensible entity management capabilities that scale across content operations and our expanding business in Ads, Games, and Live
Create intuitive applications that enable teams to maintain high-quality data within their daily workflows
Partner with ML teams to develop AI-powered solutions for entity resolution and quality management that reduce manual effort while ensuring data reliability
Drive data governance initiatives across Netflix's content pipeline ecosystem, collaborating with product and operational leaders to establish standards and ensure adoption
Guide diverse stakeholders through technology initiatives, balancing immediate team needs with our long-term vision for connected data
Qualifications:
7+ years of Product Management experience with proven success building and scaling technical platforms
Experience managing entity data or content management systems at scale
Track record of building intuitive tools that balance technical depth with user needs
Strong understanding of distributed systems and data quality management
Ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams - your relationship-building skills are critical to success
Excellent communication skills - you'll need to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences
Experience using data to inform priorities and evaluate impact of initiatives
Comfortable managing a portfolio of bigger and smaller bets while balancing short-term goals and long-term vision
Experience implementing AI/ML solutions in production environments is a plus
Experience with entertainment data is a plus

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $120-515k.
