City Of Louisville Locator / Streets Utilities Operations Tech I in Louisville, Colorado

Under general supervision, performs skilled manual labor in determining the location of underground utilities and maintenance and repair to various public works operations projects. Which include repair and cleaning of utility lines, installation and replacement of water meters, street maintenance includes: street cleaning, paint striping and patching. Will use electronic locating equipment and GPS equipment to locate and collect data points related to the City of Louisville's infrastructure, including water distribution system, sanitary sewer, and stormwater collection system. An employee in this position will primarily be responsible for performing all locate requests in a timely manner while secondary responsibilities include reporting to their supervisor and being available to finish their day doing other tasks related to the general duties of the division. May operate a variety of light duty trucks, dump trucks, tractors, backhoes, street sweepers and front-end loaders. Work assignments are usually provided orally and the work is reviewed while in progress or upon completion. Locator position will be assigned a 2025 Ford Lightning and updated, newly purchased locating equipment. Performs other work as required.

General Qualifications: Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent; experience in operating streets and drainage construction and repair equipment.

One year experience working as a Locator The following requirements are paid for by the City and provided as scheduling allows:

CDL (B) or ability to obtain within 6 months from date of hire (DOH) Flagger certification or ability to obtain within 6 months from DOH Trench & Shoring Safety Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months from DOH First Aid/ CPR/ AED certified or ability to obtain within 6 months from DOH
