Baptist Health Systems Oncology Inpatient Nurse Manager in Louisville, Kentucky
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our 24-bed private Oncology unit, which provides holistic care to cancer patients and support for their families. This unit offers a dynamic environment for developing critical thinking skills, comprehensive assessments, and specialized oncology nursing practices, including chemotherapy/biotherapy administration, pain and symptom management, post-surgical care, and cardiac monitoring. The Nurse Manager holds 24-hour accountability for patient care, customer service, staff leadership, quality improvement, financial sustainability, and strategic growth. Responsibilities include supervising patient care, fostering staff development, implementing continuous quality improvement, ensuring financial viability, overseeing the unit environment, and contributing to hospital-wide strategic initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to patient-centered oncology care. Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:
Active Kentucky Nursing License
BSN Required
Master's Degree preferred
BCLS and ACLS will be required.
A minimum of two years recent leadership experience is required.
