Description

Robert Half is looking for a skilled Senior Corporate Construction Accountant with extensive experience in commercial construction accounting. This candidate will have a vital role within the corporate team in assessing financial status by analyzing and monitoring budgets, overseeing capital assets reconciliations, and executing cost accounting tasks related to construction projects. Responsibilities:

• Prepare, maintain, audit, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports, and tables.

• Oversee capital assets reconciliations, payment requests, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, depreciation schedules, and fixed asset activity.

• Streamline corporate budgeting, forecasting and support management with special projects and workflow process improvements.

• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods as compliant under state laws and business policies.

• Analyze budgets, preparing annual budget, scheduling expenses, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions when needed.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) will be considered an asset

• 4-7 years of previous experience in public or corporate accounting

• Experience with construction project accounting highly preferred.

• Experience with construction software is strongly preferred.

• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including GAAP.

• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software.

• Refined written and verbal communication skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy, ability to direct and supervise.
