Description We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. In this role, you will be handling tasks related to accounts payable, general ledger, and month-end closing duties. You'll also be involved in bank reconciliations and supplier payments, and you'll have a hand in identifying areas for process improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts payable tasks, ensuring all transactions are accurate and timely.

• Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis.

• Participate in month-end closing duties, ensuring all financial data is recorded.

• Conduct bank reconciliations for two bank accounts and confirm all transactions are accounted for.

• Process supplier payments and maintain a record of all transactions.

• Identify areas for process improvement in the accounting department and propose solutions.

• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to streamline accounting tasks.

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the accounting cycle.

• Assist in quarterly and year-end responsibilities, ensuring all financial reports are accurate and complete. Requirements

• Proven experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrable knowledge of General Ledger management

• Experience with Journal Entries and Month End Close processes

• Familiarity with financial software such as Concur, Microsoft AX, MS Dynamics 365

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required

• CPA certification is a plus but not a requirement.
