As a Supplier Quality Engineer – Packaging Components, you will play a key role in driving supplier excellence, ensuring the highest quality packaging components, and improving our manufacturing processes. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally, influence sourcing and design decisions, and lead supplier quality initiatives that make an impact.

How You'll Create Possibilities

  • Lead supplier relationships impacting Cost of Quality (COQ) for packaging components, from selection and qualification to ongoing development.

  • Partner with Sourcing and Design teams to influence early supplier engagement and selection.

  • Ensure seamless launch of new parts through comprehensive Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) .

  • Drive resolution of supplier quality issues by implementing long-term corrective actions.

  • Improve supplier performance through continuous development initiatives and Lean Six Sigma projects.

  • Use data-driven approaches to identify and implement quality improvement projects across suppliers.

  • Manage part program schedules, clear roadblocks, and ensure production readiness.

  • Develop strategies to address supplier challenges, including alternative sourcing where needed.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or related technical field OR equivalent technical experience.

  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (supply chain leadership, quality, or related technical roles).

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with packaging-specific manufacturing (e.g., corrugate, cardboard boxes, pallets, wire banding, adhesives, EPS, tapes).

  • Knowledge of prints, dimensioning, and tolerancing .

  • Background in statistical quality control tools (SPC, Gage R&R, Process Capability, FMEA, DOE).

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Ability to simplify complex technical information and present insights to leadership.

  • Leadership experience driving change and continuous improvement.
