You may have also acquired the following skills:

  • Mechanical or general component design experience

  • Manufacturing experience (e.g. developing work instructions and process procedures with regards to welding, brazing, cold forming, testing, etc.)

  • Inspection experience such as (visual testing, penetrant testing, hydro and helium leak testing)

  • Good communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey technical data

  • Continues improvement and strong problem identification & resolution skills

    Your Opportunity

    This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Production / Process Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Incore Manufacturing Business Line in the Instrumentation & Controls Business Unit. Your work will include:

  • Performs routine and non-routine engineering assignments typically in areas of production and tooling development, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications and standard work instruction for manufacturing, resolution of manufacturing problems.

  • Has some knowledge of computer aided design such as Solidworks.

  • Solves a range of complex problems, analyzes solutions and assesses each using standard procedures.

  • Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications.

  • Works to create and/or improve processes for manufacturing of various Incore Detector Assembly Products.

  • Works with a team on various aspects to ensure production components are manufactured safely, with high quality and minimal cost.

    Your Total Rewards Package

    The range of base salary for the position is between $82,000 - $111,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
