Boxercraft Inc. Graphic Art Coordinator in Mableton, Georgia

Job Title: Graphic Art Coordinator FLSA: Non-Exempt

Core Focus

The Graphic Art Coordinator is a hybrid position of Creative and Production art.  Creatively Artist will lead the production art to deliver high quality and quick production times, in compliance with all customer requirements. This role will be responsible for creating and coordinating production art (internally and externally) with the Operations team, while also collaborating with Customer Success, Creative Art, Sales, Marketing, and Product Development.  Takes direction from the Creative Art Manager and collaborates with other Product Development team members to help take the Boxercraft brand to the next level. Must be deadline driven and have excellent attention to detail.

 

Job Description

Creative Art Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative artwork for various apparel embellishment techniques including screen printing, embroidery, Direct-to-Garment (DTG), heat transfer, and sublimation for both men's and women's clothing lines.

  • Conduct thorough research on current and emerging trends to introduce new and fresh graphic concepts that align with the brand's vision.

  • Create gender-specific, original artwork tailored for specific markets such as colleges, resorts, and destinations, ensuring each piece reflects the unique characteristics of its target audience.

  • Generate detailed proofs for customer approval, adhering to their specific art requests and utilizing the Art Portal system to streamline the process.

  • Collaborate on production art designs by converting collegiate team artwork and executing necessary revisions to meet quality and accuracy standards.

  • Partner with the Product Development team to create artwork that supports a unified and cohesive product line, enhancing overall brand consistency.

  • Design original, custom program artwork for both internal sales teams and external customers, ensuring each piece meets specific requirements and standards.

  • Work closely with the Art Manager and team to interpret feedback and make appropriate design adjustments, fostering continuous improvement and client satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with Operations and Product Development teams to test new product embellishments, documenting results and ensuring quality control.

    Production Art Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead all processes of Production Art by working with vendors and internal teams, to efficiently and cost effectively deliver exceptional service.

  • Manage the art workflow of all active projects, identifying timeline impacts, resource dependencies / conflicts and deadlines, flagging potential problems in the project schedule or resource base, which could impact the end deliverables.

  • Responsible for quality control of all production art and production art fixes.

  • Assists in preparation of all art files for production (art ripping process).

  • Provide regular communication and updates to various departments, coordinating and ensuring the on-time and orderly flow and delivery of all projects in relationship with production art.

  • Assists in printing schedules (production orders, art proofs and necessary documentation) for in house and outsource production.

  • Ensure pantone colors and dimensions are correctly listed on the art file.

  • Generate web images (and reports) for various customers according to specific requirements

  • Ability to produce underlay at its correct size.

    Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years of creative/production art experience

  • Screen Print, Embroidery, Heat Transfer production art experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership skills – including coaching, mentoring and effectively handling conflict

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to bring out the best in others and adaptability.

  • Superior communication skills both verbally and written. Self-motivated and confident in initiating and completing tasks from start to finish

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office

  • Project Management and apparel or print manufacturing industry experience a plus

  • Experience in systems development a plus

  • Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple, competing priorities.

  • Ability to work in a fast pace work-flow, possess strong time management skills and ability to work on several projects congruously.

  • Strong visual, verbal, and communication skills

  • Must be proficient in using technology related information tools

    Physical Requirements

  • Job operates in an office environment

  • Occasionally observe work in warehouse where climate temperatures vary between hot/cold

  • Over-time is sometimes required to complete day’s work

  • Flexing into other positions/tasks within the department
