Job Description

Albemarle is hiring for a Process Safety Advisor. This position is located in Magnolia, Arkansas and supports both our West and South Plant operations.

What You Will Do

• Perform Process Hazards Analyses for all PSM-covered processes

• Drive operational improvements in safety, including LOPA, critical instrumentation, interlock verification, and MOC training and review

• Follow up on closure of findings from PHA's, incidents, etc.

• Support capital projects with their PHA and LOPA needs, as well as participate in PSSRs for new projects and improvements

• Participate in incident investigations and reviews, including validating release and impact amounts and Root Cause Analysis of significant incidents

• Provide training for new engineers in both systems and methodology of technical safety systems

What You Bring

Required:

• Engineering Degree (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical) required

• Experience participating in PHA's, preferably as a leader

• At least 5 years in a chemical manufacturing plant environment in addition to a degree

Preferred:

• Phast modeling, Facilex, MOC management systems, Sharepoint systems

• Experience working in an OSHA PSM facility with flammable/toxic chemicals

• Some supervisory (Team Lead, Supervisor, or Superintendent) preferred

• Ability to work weekends, holidays, or shift schedule and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis
