And more! About the role The Staff Accountant will have overall responsibility for preparing all journal entries, account schedules and general accounting for assigned portfolio. You may be eligible for a $500 net sign on bonus to be paid out in your first paycheck What you'll be doing Prepare and monitor ACH/wire transfers and bank reconciliations Prepare and process journal entries, including standard recurring entries accounting for bi-weekly payroll, recording cash receipts, monthly accruals, etc. Review trial balances to ensure accuracy and prepare supporting account schedules Analyze and resolve all open or reconciling items on accounts schedules in a timely manner Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual reports, including dashboards, variance analysis, financial statements, Owner's reports, etc Determine current cash positions and project future needs to ensure balances will be sufficient to pay bills Prepare applicable state/local tax filings as needed Provide other analysis/reporting as needed

Who we're looking for Bachelor's degree required. Accounting, Finance or Math major preferred. Minimum of 1 year accounting industry preferred Knowledge of general ledger, ACH/wire transfers and bank reconciliations, trial balance and supporting account schedules, financial statements, and other management reports Proficiency in MS Office products, with advanced working knowledge with Excel.  Yardi experience is a plus. Must be detail oriented, highly organized, and analytical Ability to communicate clearly and coordinate with various teams and departments Ability to travel up to 10% of the time throughout assigned projects is a possibility, but not required Active and valid driver's license required.
