Adecco US, Inc. Process Maintenance Technician in Manassas, Virginia

Adecco is assisting a pharmaceutical company in recruiting for a Process Maintenance Technician in Manassas, VA . The candidate will serve as a Process Maintenance Technician responsible for performing emergency and routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment. This includes repairs and installations of various machine parts and ensuring optimal operation of machinery through troubleshooting and preventive measures. Responsibilities include:

  • Perform basic PMs, mechanical maintenance, repairs across the site, and assist small scale process improvement projects.

  • Build the foundation for machines, grind, and file machinery parts.

  • Construct and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors and tram rails.

  • Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.

  • Transfer equipment to the applicable site for maintenance to avoid contamination or safety hazards.

  • Troubleshooting of diverse types of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems such as Allen Bradley PLC’s, VFD’s, Conveyors, Motors, and Pumps, AC and DC Circuits from 24vDC to 480vAC.

  • Maintains cleanliness and upkeep of repair shop, maintenance office, and storage areas including all equipment, tools, supplies, and materials.

  • Observe and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Food Safety Plan (HACCP) and Food Quality Plan (FQP.)

  • Experience with Volpak, Acma, Euromec, Confitech highly preferred.

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar job.

  • Associate degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or High School Diploma and 5+ years of relevant experience or technical/vocational training.

  • Background in industrial maintenance or skilled trades in the food industry is required.

  • Knowledge of basic computer programs and ability to learn latest programs.

  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.

  • Technicians should be able to run conduit and wire electrical control panels according to NEC guidelines.

  • Ability to program Allen Bradley PLC’s and HMI’s.

  • Pipefitting, plumbing, welding, and fabrication are preferred.

  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and vendor documentation.

  • Perfect attendance is a MUST! Candidates must have own and reliable transportation.

  • Schedule: employees work two or three consecutive shifts with two or three days off over the course of a four-week cycle . 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am

  • Pay for this position is $27-$30/hr. depending on experience.

Pay Details: $27.00 to $30.00 per hour
