Job Posting: Process Maintenance Technician (Manassas, VA)

Adecco is assisting a pharmaceutical company in recruiting for a Process Maintenance Technician in Manassas, VA. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing both emergency and routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including repairs and installations of various machine parts to ensure optimal operation through troubleshooting and preventive measures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic PMs (Preventive Maintenance), mechanical maintenance, and repairs across the site, as well as assist with small-scale process improvement projects.

• Build machine foundations, grind, and file machinery parts.

• Construct and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails.

• Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.

• Transfer equipment to the applicable site for maintenance to avoid contamination or safety hazards.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, including Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, conveyors, motors, pumps, and AC/DC circuits (24vDC to 480vAC).

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the repair shop, maintenance office, and storage areas, including all equipment, tools, supplies, and materials.

• Observe and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Food Safety Plan (HACCP), and Food Quality Plan (FQP).

• Experience with Volpak, Acma, Euromec, and Confitech is highly preferred.

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.

• Associate degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience or technical/vocational training.

• Background in industrial maintenance or skilled trades in the food industry is required.

• Knowledge of basic computer programs and ability to learn new software.

• Ability to multitask and work independently.

• Technicians should be able to run conduit and wire electrical control panels according to NEC guidelines.

• Ability to program Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs.

• Pipefitting, plumbing, welding, and fabrication skills are preferred.

• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and vendor documentation.

• Perfect attendance is a MUST! Candidates must have their own and reliable transportation.

Schedule:

• Employees work two or three consecutive shifts with two or three days off over the course of a four-week cycle.

• Shift time: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Pay:

• $36/hr, depending on experience.
