By joining us as a Lead Specialist, General Ledger, you will pioneer and set up the process and perform reviews and authorizations of financial transactions such as bank payments, guarantees, balance sheet schedules, tax recognition, and journal adjustments. You will also be responsible for maintaining the books of Emerson entities assigned under your responsibilities and ensuring that all transactions are recorded, and financial statements are presented in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Emerson Corporate Policies and Procedures (CP&P).

In this capacity, you are expected to have close collaboration with various GFS Manila Finance functions such as Accounts Payable and Payments, General Ledger, Intercompany, and the Offshore Finance team. This gives you a very vital role in helping drive growth platforms and supporting operational pillars while striving for long-term value creation.

In this role, you will:

• Prepare/review, approve, and authorize bank payments, bank guarantees, and journal adjustments.

• Perform balance sheet account analysis and risk assessments, and report findings to management.

• Work closely with the process owners in the resolution of aged outstanding accounts reconciling items, identifying process loopholes, and implementing process improvements.

• Perform consolidation (Actuals uploading) and month end close activities (Trial Balance Review and Analysis)

• Prepare and analyze financial statements.

For this role, you will need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Accounting-related field.

• At least 5.5 years of work experience in general accounting, accounting and audit, at least 6 months successfully handled a developmental role for Team Lead Solid understanding of internal control and GAAP.

• High level proficiency in MS Office (Advanced)

• Highly experienced in using ERP applications (Oracle, JDE or any other accounting system)
