Job Title: 3rd Shift - Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our 3rd shift team, working Sunday through Thursday from 11pm to 7:30am. This role involves various aspects of assembly, machine operation, and quality control to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
Responsibilities
Perform aspects of assembly.
Use computers to close out and reprint manufacturing orders.
Read job manufacturing orders to determine belt specifications.
Calculate spec cards.
Perform wire bend tests correctly and at designated times for each machine.
Read and use tape measures accurately.
Operate and observe machines to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions.
Measure wire dimensions to determine the accuracy of machine operations.
Monitor quality by checking twists, bow, curve, edges, length, number of spans, belt tightness, sponge, pitch, and parallel.
Perform minor machine maintenance such as lubrication of moving parts and cleaning or replacing broken components.
Move finished stacks to designated areas.
Essential Skills
Ability to perform assembly tasks.
Proficiency in using computers for manufacturing orders.
Skill in reading manufacturing orders and spec cards.
Ability to perform accurate measurements and calculations.
Experience in performing wire bend tests.
Capability to detect machine defects or malfunctions.
Understanding of quality monitoring techniques.
Experience in minor machine maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma is required if candidate does not have experience.
High School Diploma is not required for candidates with 3+ years of relatable experience.
Any production or machine operating experience is preferred.
Open to candidates with good work experience in other industries if they have a genuine interest in manufacturing and the ability to learn quickly.

Work Environment
The role is set in a manufacturing environment where safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toe shoes/boots are required. The facility is climate-controlled but may feel slightly warmer due to the molding machines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manheim, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.22 - $21.22/hr.
