The Business Intelligence Analyst works cooperatively with other analysts to ensure that Mouser.com has the necessary data and information to achieve its goals. This role utilizes multiple data sources to present information that can aid Mouser teams in accomplishing their goals. The Business Intelligence Analyst Ecommerce must be able to communicate clearly and concisely what their research has uncovered.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide high-quality, scheduled reporting to upper management regarding Mouser specific metrics and Mouser’s performance in its competitive landscape• Provide daily support to internal customers to provide analytics including ad hoc reporting upon request• Stay abreast of trends for both the electronic component industry and larger e-commerce industry • Work with Analytics Architects to understand tagging structure• Communicate with 3rd party analytic tools providers• Develop skills with visualization tools such as Tableau or MicroStrategy• Develop Mouser acumen and build a working knowledge of broader Mouser goals• Build an understanding of Mouser’s digital properties• Create effective reports that can communicate clear conclusions• Use multiple data sources to provide data to stakeholders• Build an understanding of data collection methods• Use diagrams, process models, and wireframes when necessary to document the functional/technical specifications received from stakeholders, data models, and logical processing flows.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

• Strong skills in mathematics• Ability to express information visually and understanding of dashboard design• Strong attention to detail• Solid organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines• Good presentation, oral, and written communication skills• Highly effective in working within teams with wide target audiences• Understanding of basic web programming principles, tools, and technologies• Experience with using data to explain user behavior

Business Intelligence Analyst II - Ecommerce• Create effective visual dashboards• Provide recommendations on improving the user journey• Be able to consult and work with User Experience Designers, User Interface Designers, Product Managers, Product Owners, Developers, DBAs/Data Architecture, and Business Stakeholders to stay abreast of changes, new features, and providing support in data needs• Ensure data collection methods meet the needs for reporting and tracking• Create value generating intelligence with descriptive analytics methodology• Decompose business requirements into technical requirements that result in KPIs, reports, analyses, and/or dashboards• Work cooperatively with the DBA team to interpret data needs and design query logic and table structure

Requirements• Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent related work experience. Master’s degree preferred.• 2+ years digital analytics platform experience required. For internal candidates, experience can be a combination of internal and external experience.• Over 2 years of experience working with visualization tools such as Tableau or MicroStrategy• 2+ years of experience with multi-domain and multi-language international ecommerce websites and understanding the needs and interactions of customers within those sites• 2+ years of experience with Alteryx or similar ETL platform• Google Analytics preferred including non-direct measurement-based web metric tools.• Strong Excel skills and ability to transform data into presentable findings• Strong skills in extracting data from Google Analytics and ability to contextual that data• Understanding of analytics tagging methods• Strong understanding of standard web metrics• Strong data visualization and dashboard design skills• Some understanding of A/B testing and optimization • Some understanding of data governance, data structure, and data relationships• Moderate knowledge of SQL • Moderate knowledge of R or similar language/software.• Moderate to advanced understanding of at least one reporting tool such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, SSRS, Cognos, Qlikview, etc. (Tableau & MicroStrategy preferred)• Moderate understanding of cloud data storage/warehousing via BigQuery or AWS.• Basic to moderate understanding of Machine Learning principles and techniques.
