Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Patient Financial Services (PFS) System Trainer/Project Coordinator is involved with most phases of creating curriculum, training, implementation and support of tools associated with Marshfield Clinic Health System’s (MCHS) Patient Financial Services. This position trains in a wide variety of training environments. Ability to work and thrive in a team environment is critical. It requires the ability to make decisions consistent with MCHS Policies/Procedure and the strict observance of confidentiality of patient, staff and clinic information.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: High school graduate or equivalent. Satisfactory completion of diagnosis and CPT coding and medical terminology classes as soon as can be scheduled internally, usually within one year of hire.

Preferred/Optional:

  • Post high school education with emphasis in Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator, HealthCare Business or Healthcare Management.

  • Additional course work in teaching, writing, and computer science.

  • Additional course work in anatomy and physiology.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required:

  • A minimum of three years of related work experience in the business office setting.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Professional Suite.

  • Working with internal and external customers and users to improve business workflows.

  • History of success with analyzing business problems and finding solutions.

Preferred/Optional:

  • Experience training in a Health Care setting.

  • Experience or training in an adult teaching environment.

  • Experience in technical writing and instructional design.

Experience leading or managing implementations, initiatives or projects and project teams.
