Seasonal (Landscaping & Greenhouse Laborer Opportunities)

Looking to make some extra money?

Northrop's Hilltop Nursery is looking for Seasonal help for the upcoming season.

*These are temporary positions expected to last between 2-5 months

-20 to 40 hours/week, starting at minimum wage with increase possible after performance review -Applicants should be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license -Applicants should have a good work ethic, be reliable and punctual -Experience preferred, but not necessary

Job required employees to be on their feet for long periods of time including walking, standing, stooping, pulling and repetitive heavy lifting. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to work in all weather/greenhouse conditions; including very hot, humid conditions. Must communicate in a respectful manner when speaking to customers and co-workers. Friendly, helpful customer services is a top priority.

Landscaper duties:

Mowing lawns, weed whacking, trimming trees and shrubs, raking, weeding, digging holes, planting trees/shrubs/flowers, spreading topsoil, mulch or stone, Spring & Fall clean-ups, watering and assisting with various projects, as needed/ Also, helping load customer vehicles.

Greenhouse duties:

Filling containers with soil, planting/transplanting plugs, pinching, spacing , moving, deheading and lots of watering. Assisting customers, plant health observation, & feedback. Monitoring greenhouse environments, including temperatures. Weeding, washing/sanitizing pots, answering phones, taking messages, loading customer vehicles. Plant knowledge is a plus!
