AT&T Consolidated Systems Monitoring (CSM) Functional Lead (Expert) Government in McLean, Virginia

AT&T has an opening for a Consolidated Systems Management (CSM) Functional Lead to oversee a team conducting 24x7 monitoring of server and network operations.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of systems administrators and IT specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

  • Coordinate team activities, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of projects and objectives.

  • Oversee the integration of various IT systems and processes into a unified management framework.

  • Manage the output from centralized monitoring tools to provide a comprehensive view of the IT infrastructure.

  • Ensure consistent configuration management across all systems to maintain compliance and prevent configuration drift.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards and oversee the generation of compliance reports for audits.

  • Oversee the incident and problem management processes, including ticketing systems and root cause analysis.

  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent recurring issues and improve system reliability.

  • Leverage data analytics to provide insights and support decision-making processes.

  • Enforce adherence to security procedures and ethics training.

  • Brief customers and program stakeholders on functional area activities.

Required Clearance

TSSCI with poly (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience managing 12-16 personnel in a 24x7 operations environment.

  • Proficiency in systems management tools and technologies (e.g., monitoring tools, configuration management tools, automation scripts).

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.

  • Experience with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies is a plus.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to work closely with program management, cloud platform, desktop/server & network professionals and the customer community.

  • Candidate must have a total of 12 years of applicable experience. The experience can be a combination of degree and work history. This can be a High School degree and 12 years of work history OR an Associate’s and 10 years, a Bachelors’ and 8 years, a Masters and 4 years or a PhD and 2 years of work history.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional)

Our CSM Functional Lead's earn between $98,100 - $171,797. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
