Description
We are seeking a skilled Systems Security Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you will manage key security functions such as auditing, authentication, configuration management, and support for our Security Operations Center (SOC). The ideal candidate will have strong cybersecurity knowledge and hands-on experience with security tools, ensuring the integrity and protection of our systems. Risk Assessment: Identifying and assessing threats to systems and data.
Implementing Security: Configuring firewalls, encryption, and other security tools.
Monitoring and Analyzing: Detecting and investigating security incidents and suspicious activity.
Incident Response: Responding to and mitigating security breaches or threats.
Data Protection: Ensuring data confidentiality and integrity through encryption and backups.
Compliance: Ensuring adherence to security policies and industry regulations.
Security Training: Educating employees on security best practices.
Vulnerability Management: Scanning and fixing system weaknesses.
Penetration Testing: Simulating attacks to test system security.
Reporting: Documenting incidents, responses, and overall security posture.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in systems administration and cybersecurity, with at least 3-5 years in a security-focused role.
Hands-on experience with security auditing, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Proficiency with identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including experience configuring MFA and SSO.
Strong knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and patch management processes.
Familiarity with SOC operations, incident response, and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
