Robert Half Insurance Authorization Coordinator in Meadowbrook, Pennsylvania

Description Robert Half, in partnership with a reputable healthcare company located in the 19046 zip code area, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of a healthcare organization. This position will begin immediately and requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Insurance Authorization role, preferably in a chemotherapy and supportive therapy infusion environment.

The hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Responsibilities include:

  • Verify insurance coverage for patients by contacting insurance companies and obtaining necessary information.

  • Accurately document insurance information and eligibility status in the company's systems

  • Communicate with patients and internal teams regarding insurance verification and any discrepancies.

  • Assist in resolving insurance-related issues and concerns promptly.

  • Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical or insurance verification.

  • Strong understanding of medical insurance terminology and procedures.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for insurance verification tasks.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently

  • Experience using insurance portals

  • Experience using Mosaiq software (not required, but a plus).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential

• Familiarity with billing functions and claim administration

• Exceptional customer service skills

• Strong documentation abilities to ensure accurate and efficient work flow

• Knowledge and experience in insurance authorization

• Understanding and experience in medical insurance verification

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to work

• High level of professionalism and integrity.
