MAGNIFI FINANCIAL CREDIT UNION Applications Validation Specialist in Melrose, Minnesota

POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for testing, validating, and ensuring the accuracy and functionality of the outputs and configurations performed by the Enterprise Applications Analyst, Software Engineers and other related roles. Completes rigorous testing of business applications, ensuring that they meet documented business requirements, comply with regulatory standards, and operate without errors or performance issues. Works closely with Analysts, Developers, and business users to identify discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, and document findings to ensure high-quality application deployment and operation. This is a remote position, but may require occasional in-person attendance for meetings, training, etc. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develops and executes test plans, scripts, and cases to validate the configurations and outputs of business applications against documented requirements and collaborates with developers or analysts to track and resolve issues. Validates system configurations, updates, upgrades, and patches prior to deployment in production environments. Conducts functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure application stability, performance, and reliability. Collaborates with Enterprise Applications Analysts and Software Engineers and other stakeholders to understand user requirements, business processes, and application configurations. Identifies, documents, and tracks defects or inconsistencies in application configurations and coordinates their resolution. Partners with business units to ensure all enterprise applications comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements through thorough validation. Conducts post-deployment validation and system audits to confirm data integrity, security, application performance, business functions or processes. Tests and validates system integrations between different business applications and third-party services to ensure data flows correctly and integrations remain stable. Maintains and updates test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, defect reports, and validation results. Assists with the reoccurring disaster recovery activities by planning, tracking and conducting testing as assigned. Provides feedback and recommendations for application improvements based on test findings and business process knowledge. Ensures end-to-end testing processes are followed and assists in user acceptance testing (UAT) with business users. Assists in the continuous improvement of the validation and testing processes. Actively participates in community relations efforts to contribute to the mission and visibility of Magnifi Financial. BENEFITS We are committed to investing in our team!
