JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21238 JOB TITLE: Assistant Professor of Biology (Anatomy and Physiology) JOB DUTIES: The Biology Department at the University of Wisconsin-Stout invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to join us in August 2025. We are seeking a dedicated educator to teach human anatomy and physiology and related courses and engage students in biomedical or related research. The successful candidate will become part of an innovative and supportive community that prioritizes excellence in teaching and active student engagement. As a polytechnic university, we emphasize experiential learning, providing students with authentic, hands-on experiences in both classroom and laboratory settings. Our state-of-the-art facilities and equipment enable research in biomedical sciences, genetics, cell and molecular biology, microbiology, and biotechnology. The department has a zebrafish facility, rodent facility, cadaver lab, histology lab, and several research labs, including a biosafety level 2 lab. Scholarly and service activities are supported by both internal and external grants, and funds are available for professional development and student research and dissemination. RESPONSIBILITIES Teach undergraduate courses in anatomy, physiology, and related fields, as well as general education courses, as needed. Provide student academic advisement and conduct assessment of student learning. This includes contributing to academic program assessment, accreditation, and continuous improvement processes, in collaboration with faculty and staff. Engage students in research in their field of expertise. Participate in service activities within the department, college, university, and broader community.
