Actalent Compounder in Merton, Wisconsin

Job Title: Compounder

Job Description

We are looking for a Compounder who will operate and control a processing unit or a series of units to effect specific chemical changes in formulated products to desired results. The successful candidate will be tasked to follow prescribed and standardized procedures with some degree of latitude due to the reactive nature of the substances processed. The role involves measuring and charging materials into processing equipment, transferring same in accordance with processing sequence, as well as observing instruments and gauges. The candidate will also be required to obtain samples for testing, maintain process records, regulate and adjust manual, automatic or electronic control devices to bring about proper chemical reaction or results, and modify standard processes under the direction of the lab to correct batch irregularities.

Hard Skills

  • 2 years of batch making experience. (Chemicals, paints/coatings, food)

  • 2 years of experience working off of a batch record/ticket.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Merton, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

Chemical Manufacturing Facility with strong chemical smells. Sitting 10% standing and walking 80% and kneeling or twisting 10%. Lift requirements of 50lbs frequently. PPE will be provided. Working hours are Day Shift - 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
