ROLE SUMMARY

Coordinate actions to guarantee product is compliant with Latin America local regulatory standards, aiming to obtain the homologation from the specific country government agency as, for example, in Mexico (Norma Oficial Mexicana – NOM).

Train customers and industry on main fire safety standards of core countries, as Mexico, Chile and Colombia, to leverage sales showing the compliance and the differentiation of the portfolio.

Prepares and maintain products technical documents in local language for fire detection, alarm and suppression portfolio.

Being the expert, coordinate, together with product marketing and product support group, actions to educate the region about regulatory standards.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow up changes on “Norma Oficial Mexicana” NOM and anticipate impacts in fire safety market.

  • Follow up changes on main international regulations as UL and NFPA.

  • Develop training and events to fire safety market about local regulatory standards.

  • Train and educate customers and employees about fire safety market requirements and certifications.

  • Review and prepare technical documentation in local language, making them available on the Company platforms.

  • Guarantee product certifications are available on Company platforms.

  • Follow discussions about regulatory standards changes and anticipate how the changes affect Company products and market.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

  • Pursuing or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience with product certification (any industry).

  • Basic knowledge on international regulatory standards and insurance companies as UL, FM, EN.

  • Methodical and hands-on as well as detail-oriented.

  • Shares information and keeps team members and partners informed.

  • Works effectively with others to identify and resolve issues.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interact successfully with all levels of management as well as a diverse work force.
