Description
Amazon Transportation Services Mexico is looking for a Senior Program Manager to lead strategic initiatives for cross border operations, and to drive the launch of new programs in the international fulfillment and imports field. Today around 30% of Mexico volume come from out of country selection and shipped through our cross border network. We are looking for a motivated and innovative leader that can work independently and thrives in driving results within ambiguity. This position drives regular communication with senior management, and effective executive presentation skills are essential.
This is a fast-moving role, requiring strong prioritization, dive deep and communication skills (verbal and written). The ideal candidate is expected to manage a demanding project pipeline, and effectively negotiate while fostering strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders. Knowledge and interest in imports, customs, regulations, and global trade is strongly recommended.
Key job responsibilities
Drive strategic initiatives and program launches to grow and improve cross border operations
Own project pipeline with strong prioritization based on business impact
Negotiate and influence with various stakeholders and senior leaders to drive project launches
Write and present business strategy documents
Create operational framework matching an optimized supply chain design
Identify opportunities for new programs and drive stakeholder and senior leadership buy-in
A day in the life
Day-to-day activities can change as the business grows. The position will interact with Global Exports operations and Mexico supply chain, driving end-to-end scalable and innovative operational solutions. They will provide project updates through written and verbal communication in business reviews and own the metric for success, including cost optimization and speed improvement.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Bachelor's degree
1+ year experience in cross border and/or international trade
Fluent English and Spanish (Verbal and writing communication)
Experience writing narratives and business cases.
Experience launching cost reduction or new business initiatives, projects.
Preferred Qualifications
PMP certificate
PMP
Master Degree preferred: MBA, Operations Management, Supply Chain
