Carlton Fields, P.A. Applications Trainer in Miami, Florida

[Carlton Fields is seeking a Applications Trainer for its Miami office. *[Position Responsibilities (not all-inclusive):]{arial=""}]{arial=""}*

  • Provide on-boarding and new-hire technology introduction and follow-up on core programs and functional technology skills to users.
  • Provide user role specific technology and process training when requested by users or their supervisors.
  • Contribute to the management of the firm's LMS portals and resources including accounts, courses, enrollments, and reporting.
  • Contribute to the development, planning and implementation of firm-developed curriculum for Instructor Lead Classroom Training, as well as Live Virtual and asynchronous e-learning.
  • Support IS department efforts to drive user adoption of software packages and platforms through virtual and in-person training including formal courses, multi-user sessions, and one to one instruction.
  • Contribute to the development and presentation of quick tips on technology topics to Practice Group meetings.
  • Contribute to developing and producing microlearning videos, tip of the week, and other user engagements through the firm's intranet, Technology Training page, and Training Blog.
  • Support the production of learning and development programing for other departments as requested such as hosting webinars, recording and postproduction editing of video/audio.
  • Provide helpdesk/desktop support and systems support service in firm offices.
  • Support the IS Department in carrying out technical projects, including implementation, documentation, and assisting in the configuration of software and hardware products.
  • Regular in-office presence and user support required.
  • Flexibility to answer communication and requests outside normal business hours required.
  • Travel to firm offices to facilitate training, including periods of frequent and extended travel for large technology implementation projects required.

[Education/Experience:]{arial=""}

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, learning and development or related field is preferred. Experience may substitute for degree.
  • One or more years of experience in corporate/professional services learning and development, or customer-facing technology assistance role.

[Knowledge/Skills:]{arial=""}

Demonstrated knowledge of training and user support for software products including Microsoft Office 365 and preferred experience with legal specific software for DMS, timekeeping, document production, dictation, litigation tools etc.

Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of technologies for e-learning, such as video conferencing and web and LMS-based content.
