Robert Half Bookkeeper in Miami, Florida

Description

We are looking for a meticulous Bookkeeper to join our team in Brickell, Miami. This role will primarily involve managing financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and conducting internal audits. It is a contract-based role in the financial planning industry, offering the opportunity to work in a supportive environment and develop your career.

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes

• Handle the full cycle of accounting duties or supervise others in the handling of such tasks

• Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation, and analysis

• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions, overseeing regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance

• Use QuickBooks and Microsoft Suite to manage financial data and create financial reports

• Handle month-end and year-end close processes

• Conduct regular ledger reconciliation and manage payroll

• Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported

• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles

• Provide support to the administrative team as needed.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Skills in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Proven experience in Bookkeeping

• Ability to perform Data Entry tasks accurately and efficiently

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in the Month End Close process

• Knowledge and experience in Payroll management

• Proficiency in QuickBooks software

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
