One of the key missions for HSBC Global Asset Management (AMUS) is to be the primary facilitator of the Wealth-led strategy for WPB. The purpose of this role will be to assist in managing the relationship between WPB and AMUS. The person in this role will facilitate and support the delivery of AMUS solutions and services to WPB customers (Premier, High Net Worth, Ultra High Net Worth) through HSI Intermediaries (Wealth Relationship Managers, PB Relationship Managers and PB Investment Counselors). The solution set manufactured/packaged by AMUS includes but is not limited to: HSBC Funds, domestic and offshore, Managed Solutions platforms (currently Spectrum and Managed Portfolio Allocations) and Alternatives.

As the Senior Investment Specialist for Asset Management, you will be the key contact for all licensed employees within WPB when it pertains to Asset Management products. You will serve as a subject matter expert on the AMUS solution set and related systems, as well as Asset Management’s market outlook and views. Be prepared to provide market updates across all asset classes and offer presentation ideas to the sales force to engage with their clients. Your remit specifically will be to grow the Offshore business within WPB through effective and influential sales coaching to the Premier and PB front line. Consult with HSI Intermediaries to support their Wealth activities as they relate to the AMUS solution set; assist in establishing relationships with and increasing share of wallet from Premier, High Net Worth, Ultra High Net Worth.

As our Senior Investment Specialist you will:

  • Serve as back-up on the internal wholesaling desk

  • Act as liaison between Product and Marketing

  • Join Client meetings as necessary to help build relationships and represent Asset Management Solutions

  • Serve as subject matter expert on AMUS solution set and related systems (web-based Proposal Generation and Account Management tools) in support of HSI Intermediaries

  • Facilitate the generation of proposals and analyses for client accounts based on profiling data collected and provided by HSI Intermediaries; advise on best way to position the results of portfolio analyses and proposals

  • Be a subject matter expert in Asset Management’s market views and outlook and products

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with WRMs, PB RMs and ICs, and Wealth Center Managers as defined above to better service WPB customers across segments

  • Net and gross sales targets are set each year, jointly by WPB and AMUS

  • Grow our share of wallet within the HSBC Wealth business relative to third party managers

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $141,300.00 and $211,900.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Qualifications

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • 5 years proven experience within Wealth Management, Private Banking, Internal Wholesaling, External Wholesaling, Securities Sales Assistant, Financial Advisor or other securities industry sales or equivalent

  • You will need to be an expert on market themes, investment products, and investor behaviour. You will have a background in financial sales and proven trackrecord of influencing behaviour

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, related field or equivalent experience

  • Series 7 and 66 or Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses

  • Spanish language proficiency is mandatory for this position to effectively engage with our diverse client base

  • Proven communications, interpersonal, organizational, sales and sales training skills

  • Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe systems and software packages (excel and PowerPoint)

  • Strong knowledge base of General Mutual Fund and Mutual Fund Wrap Program Sales, Offshore Mutual Funds as well as brokerage account opening and account maintenance procedures

  • Alternatives knowledge a plus
