The Specialty Diagnostics Group (SDG) focuses on in vitro diagnostics including test kits, reagents, culture media, instruments, and associated products to serve customers in health care, clinical, pharmaceutical, and industrial laboratories. Location: Remote Middletown, VA; PA & NJ – w/ability to travel 25% to site

The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for consolidating and building the demand plan for a growing product portfolio in North America working closely with the commercial teams.

What will you do?

  • Maintain the demand plan and its associated KPIs (forecast accuracy, OTIF) for the North American business.

  • Develop the supply plan, coordinate with the manufacturing sites for the shipments and associated KPI’s.

  • Determine priorities and initiate action where changes in forecast and/or resources dictate re-evaluation of existing schedules.

  • Develop the planning methodology for a growing portfolio of business with setting the reorder points, safety stocks while managing inventory, E&O and scrap costs.

  • Collaborate with Demand Planning and Manufacturing Leadership in Demand Review and Supply Review processes for effective Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

  • Support with the launch of new products in the North American market for the business unit.

  • Reviews and develops new techniques in the planning area to assure the most efficient methods are applied in meeting our customers’ requirements.

  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Business or a science or equivalent experience in business or production management environment.

  • 2-4 years’ experience in a production planning preferably in a Diagnostics company and/or FDA regulated environment is required.

  • Required area of experience in SAP, Materials Management, Procurement, and Production Planning.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of SAP systems, planning systems, production control, customer service/order processing

  • Demonstrated ability to manage processes across functional lines.

  • Attention to detail; creativity combined with strong analytical skills (the ability to view a situation logically, break it down into manageable tasks and identify alternative plans of action).

  • Highly responsive to internal and external customers.

  • High degree of experience and capability in working with all levels of the organization to achieve requirements.

  • Adept in working with business analysis and presentation; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and standard operating procedures.

  • Good planning and organizational skills; must be able to manage multiple competing priorities.

  • Proven ability to implement improvements and/or cost savings.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Work Conditions:

  • Normal office environment. Position will require sitting and standing.

  • Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
