Job Description

Position Summary:

A meaningful opportunity exists for an ambitious Finance professional to play a key role in driving the financial success of the Applied Analytical Technologies Business Unit within the Chromatography & Mass Spec Division (CMD). The Senior Financial Planning & Analyst is responsible for coordinate the planning sessions and develop key analytical to drive profitability among the organization, as well as partnering with functional leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the annual & quarterly forecasts among the 5 product lines. Support the process of preparing Monthly/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) packages, including Risks & Opportunities (R&O) Forecast.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in different locations to forecast Operational Expenses and drive accountability and forecast throughout the organization.

  • Support the RD cost by program tracking, by helping the RD leader with the prioritization of RD investment.

  • Develop, track, report, and analyze key financial metrics for the AAT Product lines, including P&L, Operational metrics, and Headcounts. Standardize a set of reporting to communicate the performance to the senior Leadership Team.

  • Understand drivers of profitability, challenge current business assumptions to formulate and recommend opportunities for financial improvements and participate in their implementation. Communicate risks and opportunities to expected results and develop contingency plans to deliver on the financial commitments.

  • Lead business partner activities with key operational team members, being effective on supporting their goals by understanding key drivers and providing business insights through detail analysis.

Key Competencies:

5+ years of meaningful experience in a finance role with hands-on experience in providing financial analysis to drive key business decisions within the context of a matrix organization and/or corporate environment. Proven track record of making logical assumptions, including external and internal information, and effectively benchmark results against appropriate baselines. Ability to innovate process change, identifying and breaking down barriers. Systems experience, including, but not limited to: SAP, Hyperion Planning, PowerBI, adv. Excel Skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with global and remote team.

  • Applies strong technical and analytical skills to influence strategic business decisions. Handle multiple assignments, prioritize projects and time effectively.

  • Confidence to interact with all levels of the organization. Communicate complex financial analysis to business leaders and to obtain operational agreement.

Experience & Education

  • Minimum of 5 to 7+ years of business and Finance experience.

  • Prior experience in a large global company and highly matrixed organization

  • .Proficient at understanding and proactively communicating the financial implications of business decisions and dynamics.
