Job Description

Renesas is seeking a self-driven, motivated, and enthusiastic senior professional to join our High-Performance Computing (HPC) Microcontroller Business Development team. As the MCU Business Development Marketing Director for North America , you will lead the regional HPC MCU marketing team and drive business development efforts in the automotive segment. Your role will be crucial in positioning Renesas as a leader in key automotive applications by using your extensive product knowledge, application expertise, and business development skills. You will build strong customer relationships and work closely with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and ecosystem partners, ensuring smooth internal collaboration.

Performance Objectives

In this role, a successful candidate will:

  • Develop, initiate & implement the regional marketing & business strategy and engagement plan to enable the sales and BU teams achieve the profitable revenue growth.

  • Responsible for regional product promotion strategy. Manage promotion activities at system solution and product levels.

  • Implementing strategic initiatives and driving application discussions with relevant teams inside the organization.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate marketing efforts with sales, product development, and other departments to effectively win designs

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including R&D and purchasing, partners at OEMs, T1s, partners and industry influencers.

  • Implement platform & solution selling at the target OEMs and Tier 1s. Work with Sales & FAE team to support and manage customers design cycle from prototyping to mass production.

  • Achieve Renesas design-wins on focus products in target applications by positioning our value proposition at the Customers via design / specification influence or directed buys by OEMs to Tier 1s.

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and market trends.

  • Define and develop region-required product collateral, competitive analysis, product roll out, and field training

  • Lead and supervise the marketing team, providing guidance and support to drive HPC MCU business growth in NA

  • Foster strong team culture based on accountability, execution of strategic targets and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Engineering or technical equivalent and a minimum of 2 years experience in the power management industry

  • Understanding of power electronics, control theory, and Multi-phase DC/DC buck converter topology

  • Automotive power background and understanding of AEC-Q1xx Qualification is a plus

  • Programming skills using Labview or Python with Experience automating data collection

  • Experience modeling power converter losses and/or experience in power semiconductor characterization.

  • Proficiency with ckt simulation and PCB CAD tools

  • Excellent lab based problem solving skills. Ability to follow data to root cause

Additional Information

The expected annual pay range for this position is $156,000 - $234,000. This position is also eligible for bonus opportunities. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
