Job DescriptionLegal Counsel, Employment Law The Legal Counsel, Employment Law, will provide legal advice to Rockwell Automation\'s Human Resources function and business leaders in a wide variety of employment law matters. The role calls for a trusted advisor who understands Rockwell Automation\'s strategic initiatives and provides legal support that supports growth, mitigates risk, and assures compliance. As a subject matter expert on issues related to employment law and HR compliance, the Legal Counsel, Employment Law will be responsible for providing legal advice for matters arising throughout the employee life-cycle, including, for example, background checks, accommodations and leaves of absence, and discipline and termination decisions. The Legal Counsel, Employment Law will also provide guidance in developing and implementing global and local strategies and coordinated action plans to support compliance and risk mitigation, including wage and hour, benefits, and federal contract compliance requirements. The role may also be responsible for investigations into and drafting responses to complaints of discrimination or non-compliance. This role will be highly collaborative across multiple functions and business units to support HR compliance activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide proactive counseling on employment law compliance.
