Client is looking for a Network Engineer to help them with a switch and wireless upgrade project across multiple locations in Milwaukee, WI and Chicago, IL area. This will start as a 6 month contract (hybrid - travel to nearby sites here and there - 50% remote) one position at each location. Likely to extend.

Top Skills:

• Basic networking skills and experience in large networks.

• Basic networking skills and experience in installing and programming Cisco routing and switching.

• Ability and experience installing Cisco and/or Aruba wireless networking equipment.

• Ability and experience programming Cisco and/or Aruba wireless networking equipment.

• Experience in wireless authentication platforms such as Cisco ISE and Aruba Clearpass is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Manage network infrastructure consists of Palo Alto, Cisco, Sonic, and Aruba devices

Help improving LAN\WAN\WLAN architecture for maximum performance, capacity, and scalability

Implement appropriate network management and monitoring systems achieving zero downtime

Install and configure firewalls, switches, wireless and other networking devices

Automate repetitive networking tasks and monitor their effectiveness

Implement network security measures per business requirements

Conducting network performance and integrity tests; generate reports

Help developing and implementing network disaster recovery plans

Timely resolve escalated network related support issues

Develop and maintain complete technical documentation

Interact with business partners providing network engineering support
