Robert Half Network Engineer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Description

We are in search of a Network Engineer for a long-term hybrid role in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The focus of this role is to provide advanced IT support for Software and Test RD teams, contributing to the development of medical device software. This involves duties such as system administration, RD network administration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Administer critical software development tools that are outside of IT responsibility

• Undertake network administration activities for the RD network domain server used for development and test

• Collaborate closely with developers and IT representatives to ensure the proper design and deployment of the engineering network

• Manage code signing certificates and assist in the signing of compiled resultants or setup of automated CI/CD pipeline code signing

• Aid in managing vSphere VM infrastructure used for software development

• Establish and document RD network and development systems within new office locations, coordinating with global RD sites

• Work cross-functionally to understand user needs for new and existing products

• Carry out daily administrative tasks to manage authorization to networks and tools

• Utilize strong documentation skills to record network architecture and administrative guides

• Troubleshoot any issues with RD networks or tools

• Collaborate with other developers and DevOps professionals to identify new methodologies, processes, or tools associated with development pipelining

• Drive continuous improvement activities associated with Cardiology RD tools and networks by identifying and appropriately escalating process and infrastructure quality gaps.

Requirements • Demonstrable experience in software engineering.

• Proficiency in Microsoft suites and cloud technologies.

• Profound knowledge in network and network engineering.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to troubleshoot and provide workstation support.

• Knowledge of policy, quality, and regulation standards.

• Experience in HR administration and leadership skills.

• Detailed understanding of computer sciences and active directory.

• Ability to manage servers and configuration management.

• Experience with medical coverage and healthcare.gov authorizations.

• Familiarity with deployments and methodology.

• Understanding of security principles in software engineering.
